Day 2 (21st April 2011) – Small Town Story 小城故事

Woke up ‘early’ in the morning in a 24hour-night room where we couldn’t see any sunlight and never know the time without a clock or watch.

After taking bath and putting ‘plastering’ on our faces and bodies, we headed all the way to find – shuttle bus! Due to the characteristic of always wanted to eat, we bought some food in 7-11 and Bumi’s stall (which this word was directly borrowed from ‘Malay stall’ =.=’’) for breakfast. After seeking so much guidance and advices from others, we finally got to find the shuttle bus counter. We were told to wait for a few minutes before getting the ticket and boarding onto the bus. It took about 7km or more from Tune Hotel to the city centre where we were going to spend our first day in.

Firstly, we made our steps into a small kopitiam for brunch where we enjoyed Huangjiu mee suah, Mee Konlo and Fried Tuaran Noodle with seafood. All the food was simple but nice…with the ‘taste of countryside’…

After that, we had a walk in the town which I already forgot where we been to…The only one that I can still remember was Suria Sabah…It was a very nice and attracting shopping complex from the external..However, there were not many shops inside where we only visited a few including 100Yen Shop, a few boutiques and….food court….we shared a bowl of Tomyam from Kuo Man Restaurant….i would say it was very special because it was totally different from what we have in KL…it was not sour in taste but very much like laksa…

Before we wanted to leave KK town, we decided to have a walk in Jesselton Jetty and asked about the price for going islands such as Sapi, Manukan and Mamutik…The price ranged from RM27++ to 40++ which I thought was quite affordable.

Then we headed back to Tune Hotel by shuttle bus again. Once we reached our room, we quickly prepared ourselves and stuffs because Mr Nip gor gor will be coming to bring us for dinner. We were brought to a small restaurant which I already forgot the name. We had grill fish, ‘wo tie’, fried meehun and my favourite fried 薯仔菜with egg. We enjoyed the food while chit chatting about everything. Right after the dinner, we were brought to Tanjung Aru for sightseeing of the beach and the sea….

We were back to the hotel around 10++pm where we met with a big gang of Taiwanese….This was a very long story…to be continue…..

Day 1 (20th April 2011) – Depart from LCCT to KKIA Terminal 2

This was the beginning of my really long vacation…

Went out to Cempaka Star LRT at 6.20pm and headed all the way to Bandar Tasik Selatan. It was the time when people off from work when we reached B.T Selatan….we saw the terrible scene of ‘people mountain people sea’ there…It didn’t ruin our mood as we were overexcited by the cheerful trip waiting for us.

We enjoyed and chatted all the way from the station to LCCT. We thought we managed to have a simple & express dinner there but we failed to due to the lack of time.

However, the idea of getting ourselves having dinner in the plane came to our mind. Everything was just good and perfect as our mood….

The flight was on time where we were very happy with it.

We adjusted our mood and fully switched on the holiday mode as the plane took off….the excitement and happiness was just hardly described….

As the sign of fastening seat belt was off, it came another exciting moment for us – time to eat!!!! =.=’’ but unfortunately we forgot two important points there:

1. 1. We didn’t pre order our food where we were terribly ‘abused’ by the ‘aroma’ of the food when the flight attendances distributing those pre-ordered one.

2. 2. It was the last flight that night! They did not have much food left in the plane for those who didn’t pre order.

We prayed very very hard in heart that they still left some food for us…if worst came to worst, we were willing to take instant cup noodle for dinner as long as there were something salty for us. We waited about 30 minutes for the flight attendances to approach us with the tray where we were already starved. Luckily and thank God that they still left 3 packs of rice for us!!!!!!

One of the flight attendances laughed at us seeing our surprised and happy face when we were told about the availability of the food….

We grabbed our food as soon as we made the payment until forgot to take some photo of the life-saving dinner….wakakakaka…

Right after the dinner, I made myself a pig and sleep sleep sleep the whole journey….

Wehehehehe, the time that I opened my eyes, it was already very near to KKIA Terminal 2. The stewardess started announcing and reminding us to fasten the seat belt and bla bla bla….

And here we came...Sabah!!!!

Special thanks to Mr Nip gor gor for fetching us to Tune Hotel in the mid night!! Arigatou…..

Thank you 你啊!wakakakaka……

Holding hands...

I was deeply impressed by a touching scene on my way back from Bukit Bintang after having a mad crazy shopping….

When I first stepped into the Star LRT, the first ‘eye-catching’ person that I noticed was a Chinese woman in her 60s (I guess..) with her husband. I found her different from other people in the train because her left eye was an ocular prosthesis….and the more attracting part was – she was holding her husband’s hand. They had some talk in the train and the woman lied on the husband’s shoulder when they stopped chatting. The scene was so ‘amazing’ for me that it was actually too harmony for my acceptance. It sounded weird, but I never see such touching and sweet moment between my parents. Surprisingly, the old couple headed to the same destination as mine. I kept on observing them until they walked far enough away from my sight. Once again, they touched my ‘little heart’. They held their hands tight all the way long the staircases. What a sweet old couple…

It is very normal to hold other people’s hands but not everyone is willing to hold our hands….

Parents used to hold our hands when we wanted to cross the busy road…

We used to hold our parents hand when we begged and cried for toys…

We used to hold siblings’ hands when we enjoyed our favourite childhood game…

We used to hold our little friends’ hands when we played hide and seek at school….

We used to hold couple’s hand when we were out for dating…

And…

We are going to hold our children’s hands and kiss them deeply….

We are going to hold our children’s hands when they try to write their very first word in their lives…

We are going to hold our children’s hands when they first go to school…

We are going to ignore our loved one’s hands….

We are going to forget our parents’ hands…..

But as time flies…

Our children refuse to hold our hands in front of their little friends…

Our children no longer need our hands to guide them to the other side of the road….

Our children start holding boy friends’ or girl friends’ hands….

Our loved one’s think that holding hands is no longer necessity….

Our parents’ hands are full of wrinkles or suffer from arthritis…

One day, sooner or later….

We will lose the chance to hold our loved one’s hands…

We might not know when is it…

We might not know how is it going to happen…

But we know we will regret for not holding hand in hand and heart to heart……

Congratulation~~~~~~~~

Hey yeah! say congratulation to my cousin for getting a cute cute son!
The baby has double eye lids and big eyes....so cute...wonder when can I meet this adorable little angel.....
Hmm....why don't I have an elder brother or sister so that I can become ''ah yi'' or ''gugu'' faster? It is so exciting to have a baby at home to play with (provided that the baby is not my own child and I do not need to take any responsibility...keke), coz baby is too cute and irresistible (hmm, sounds like KFC?)
Anyway, all the best for you, little lovely baby.....
